SNOW!

It snowed last Friday!
And with college being indecisive about whether or not to stay open I arranged  two photo-shoots which had already been planned in anticipation of the snow. So with me all excited and what not about this shoot, I trekked my way to college and started setting up for the shoot but it wasn't long before the very few teachers that had made it to college informed myself and a few others that the college would be closing to normal lessons but stay open for exams.

Shortly after this after this 'unfortunate' news my model called and informed me that she couldn't make it as her car was stuck in a chain of cars all stranded on the side of a hill, so we had to cancel the shoot and in the best option for me was to make my way home and have some hot chocolate.

Ryan playing with the snow....kids these days! :P

But Ryan (one of my best mates) persuaded me to stay and take some pictures in the snow so we called our other friends Klaudia and George, and went out to enjoy the snow, trekking around and snapping somewhat festive pictures! Whilst it lasted!
After this wonderful day spent in the snow, Ryan and I were anxious about whether or not our planned trip to London the next day would still go ahead....Post on that coming soon ;)

Ups & Downs

It's been a weird, stressful, busy and crazy two weeks!!

Last week seemed to have flown by as I could barely remember what I'd done during the week and by Friday night I was totally out of it.

I had a 'Burnout' or I felt like so.

This I think may have been the result of mounted pressure from college and family to complete my UCAS applications, the mountain of work I had to complete for media and the constant pressure of trying to put together my personal portfolio for Uni! Late and sleepless nights of perfecting my personal statements, working through pages of checklists, creating mood-boards and planning shoots saw Friday to be the longest and excruciatingly slowest day I have yet to experience. But with it came the completion of my UCAS applications and media workloads!
I felt like I no longer had the weight of the world on my shoulders, falling into a 12 hour sleep upon my return from college I woke up the next morning felling like I was on top pf the world!! (unfortunately I had an 8 hour shift at work) but I went in smiling! :D
Through all this I managed to play around with a new gadget I acquired from college, an Olympus OM-1n, and even carried out a test shoot with it aha!!

This past week got off to a better start and things were on the up side, received the prints from the test shoot and shot part two of my Colour Project

First pictures taken with the Olympus, images from the test shoot are yet to be scanned, I'll post them as soon as they're scanned!

This shoot was totally amazing!!

Hmmm....

Today college seemed dull and slow....maybe because its Monday, but then again, I usually quite enjoy Mondays at college.
Maybe its all the University applications and its complications.... <--- that totally rhymed! ha!

Anyways, aside all that and on top of the many media assignments I have yet to complete, I am glad to say I have made headway with editing last week's Powder Shoot, and its looking ok at the moment, should have quite a few finals from that by tomorrow, so I'll post them then but for now here's a little preview:

Hope you've all had a good day!!
